About Me
I give credence to the philosophy of, “Work hard, play hard.” Some people want serious and professional lives while others want fun and adventurous ones. I believe I can have both.
I am an outgoing person who loves to have fun. I chug the drink of excitement, down the shot of entertainment, and ask Life for another round. But make no mistake, I am also a very driven person who prioritizes personal growth and learning. I attend the classes of professionalism, write the notes of expertise, and ask Life when the homework is due.

Benefits
I am the Swiss Army Knife of employees. I am not an expert in any one thing. Instead, I am competent in many things. This versatility is what makes me useful. Below is a list of "things" I am good at as well as quotes from the people I admire who embody them:
Leadership
“The quality of a leader is reflected in the standards they set for themselves.”
~ Ray Kroc
Problem Solving
“If you define the problem correctly, you almost have the solution.”
~ Steve Jobs
Adaptability
“Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.”
~ John F. Kennedy
Teamwork
“Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships.”
~ Michael Jordan
Ambition
“There is one weakness in people for which there is no remedy. It is the universal weakness of lack of ambition.”
~ Napoleon Hill
Communication
“Seek first to understand, then to be understood.”
~ Stephen Covey
Outside of Work
Adventurer
I enjoy hiking, snowboarding, skydiving, road trips, and discovering new places. In the summer of 2023, I ventured to Europe to hike the Camino de Santiago; a 500+ mile journey from France to the western coast of Spain. Back in the states, when I am in my Jeep, the only thing stopping me is a “No Trespass” sign!
Learner
I take online courses to develop my skill sets (such as the course I took to learn how to build this website). I attend seminars for business development and networking. I also read. A LOT. I usually read between 30 to 40 books per year. My main interests are non-fiction, primarily with a focus on business. If you have any book recommendations let me know!
Helper
When people come to me for assistance, I am there to listen and offer advice when asked. I love giving back to my community by volunteering at local food banks, organizing group cleanups, donating to charities, and giving care packages to those in need.
Lover
I am a lover of my family and stay in close contact with them. I am a lover of my friends and also enjoy making new ones. I am a lover of my dog, Lynyrd. I bring him on my hikes, swim with him in the local river, and play fetch with him when he wants to. Hint: He always wants to.
Reviews
"Outstanding work ethic" ~ Jeremy Geist

Frequently Asked Questions
In the next five years, I see myself making significant contributions to the success of a company. Given the right company, I will be in it for the long haul and will be eager to take on increasing responsibilities and challenges by leveraging my experience and skills from proper training.
I thrive in a collaborative work environment where communication is open and ideas are valued. I appreciate a workplace that fosters both individual and team growth where employees are encouraged to take initiative and contribute to the overall success of the company. In other words, I want to make an impact.
I believe effective organization is key when handling multiple projects simultaneously. To ensure I stay on top of my responsibilities, I prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance, breaking down larger projects into manageable, actionable steps. I maintain open and transparent communication with team members by providing regular updates on project statuses. Additionally, I make use of to-do lists and calendars to organize daily tasks and deadlines.
One approach I find invaluable is maintaining a proactive mindset. By anticipating potential challenges, I can develop contingency plans and be better prepared at expecting the unexpected. Effective time management is another key element. I prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance, focusing on the most critical aspects first. I also believe in the power of maintaining a positive attitude. Instead of viewing pressure as a hindrance, I see it as an opportunity for growth and problem-solving.
I’m glad you asked! I quickly realized that insurance sales was not my calling. Instead of “quiet quitting” I decided it would be the perfect opportunity to embark on an adventure. My friend and I hopped in a truck and headed north. There was no plan. We spent over 3 months traveling through the midwest, only turning around because we got to the border of Canada. In total we explored 11 different states.
My second gap was after I left Dell Technologies. The startup I joined turned out to be a sinking ship. I quickly got on a life boat and took it as another opportunity for an adventure. This time, I traveled to Europe to walk the Camino de Santiago; a pilgrimage across Spain.
I got a library card. This allowed me to read as much as I wanted to. I am currently on book 37 for the year. It also gave me access to free online courses. I have been taking them to expand my knowledge. The one I am currently taking is actually teaching me how to make this very website!
One of my greatest strengths is leadership. In my previous roles, I have consistently demonstrated proficiency in coordinating group projects and motivating team members. This skill not only allows me to accomplish tasks in a more efficient way but also contributes to the success of my coworkers.
Another strength I possess is communication. I’ve honed this skill through my leadership roles in college and beyond. It has proven to be beneficial in scenarios where there is a disconnect between the goals of the company and the goals of its employees. This happens a lot. I have found that communicating “why” we are doing something is much more effective than giving orders by only communicating “what” we are doing.
I believe in continuous self-improvement, and one area I’ve identified for development is the prioritization of “action” over “ideas”. I am constantly thinking of new ways to improve old systems. But in the past, I have faced challenges with focusing too much of my attention on new ideas and not enough on the implementation of them. However, I am actively working on strengthening this area by reminding myself that change doesn’t happen over night. For instance, if I am trying something new I will commit to the implementation of it for a set amount of time. Only at the end of this self allotted time will I make the decision between coming up with a new solution or continuous implementation of the current one.
I am passionate about self improvement. I tend to overestimate what I can accomplish in one year but underestimate what I can do in 5 or 10 years. That is why I commit myself to making small improvements. I believe the best way to lead people is by example. By improving my own life I can improve the lives of others. And who doesn’t find joy in helping the lives of others? Here are some of the areas I am currently working on:
- Exercise for at least 20 minutes per day
- Have an intimate conversation with a friend once a week
- Try something new at least once a month (ex: restaurants, day trips, hiking trails, etc.)
- Read once per day
- Listen twice as much as I speak. I have two ears and only one mouth after all…
What I bring is my passion for improvement. I am eager to learn new things and develop new skill sets. This is not only because I want to improve myself, but because I want to contribute to the improvements of a company/organization. I do not want a job simply so I can pay the bills. I want a job where I can make an impact. I am not driven by job titles, money, or recognition. I am driven by an unending desire to make a change in the world. Simply put: I am someone who can help take you and your organization to the next level.
